Bond’s Master of Construction Practice (Professional) is designed specifically for international students to equip graduates with the essential knowledge, understanding and versatile skill-set fundamental to the successful management of complex construction projects.

With a program designed in close consultation with prominent professional industry boards and delivered in collaboration by both academics and industry professionals, students will learn about the latest techniques and technologies in a mix of learning environments from the classroom to practical experiences incorporating industry guest involvement, skills sessions, projects, and practical assessment pieces replicating workplace tasks.

Graduates will gain a professionally recognised qualification to stand out in the construction industry.

The ‘Professional’ component of the degree involves an additional 20 weeks to the Master of Construction Practice program. This will enable students to develop their work-ready skills, by expanding analytic and strategic thinking capabilities through self-analysis and developing communication skills through practical experience.

The Master of Construction Practice covers a comprehensive range of subjects in the field of construction practice, focusing on the management and delivery of complex construction projects. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including building structures and soil mechanics, construction technology, construction techniques, plant and equipment, contract administration, building measurement, finance and cost planning, project management, refurbishment and retrofitting and risks. The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The program also meets the educational requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for attainment of an Open Builders License.
