The program covers?advertising, public relations, social media, human communication theory, relational communication, organisational communication and leadership, and research methods and data visualisation.

You will experience opportunities to apply your knowledge to real projects. You will?choose and conduct a research project, and guided by academic and industry professionals, complete?a 20-week professional portfolio capstone?subject.

The Master of Communication (Professional) is designed for international students who would like to develop or enhance their expertise in the rapidly expanding field of professional communication. As a student in the program, you will gain applied skills and knowledge in advertising, public relations, social media, human communication theory, relational communication, organisational communication and leadership, and communication research. You will also conduct a research project of your own choosing and engage in a 20-week professional portfolio capstone of either 1) a work-integrated learning opportunity to participate in a field project and produce a report and showcase portfolio (eligibility criteria applies), or 2) undertake a supervised professional portfolio project. Throughout the program, you will develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in professional communication to equip you for roles in the fields of advertising, public relations, social media, research, management and leadership, and internal communication in private, public, and non-profit organisations.
