Master of Public Health (Social Systems)

The Master of Public Health is a flexible one-year degree designed to provide a broad introduction to public health. You will engage in innovative learning experiences where you will gain advanced work-ready skills and develop a keen analytical and social lens to address issues of global health significance.
Flexible learning includes on-campus tutorials, typically scheduled for 2 hours every second week.

 

You will study four foundational (core) public health subjects, select elective subjects or complete a specialisation from the following:

  • Social systems
  • Big data and decision science
  • Indigenous health
  • Public health practice
  • Public health research
  • Climate and environment

 

Additionally, the Master of Public Health has a strong focus on Work Integrated Learning, industry connections, and practical placements (available through the public health practice specialisation), where you will put theoretical knowledge into practice.
