Graduate Certificate in Computing

The Graduate Certificate in Computing is designed for students who wish to complete a short qualification in Computing. You’ll study four advanced topics in Computing to complement or update your existing qualifications, or if you have no background in the area you can undertake four introductory level courses before considering a higher-level qualification in this discipline.

In this certificate you can choose from a range of Computing electives. You’ll have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills or update your existing qualifications by choosing electives from the areas including Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, Database Systems, e-Commerce systems and many more traditional and emerging areas of Computing and IT.  

Key features

You’ll choose electives from Bioinformatics and a large suite of Computer Science courses. Upon graduation you’ll have developed skills and increased knowledge in enquiry-based learning, cognitive skills and critical thinking and communication, adaptive and interactional skills.

The Graduate Certificate in Computing provides a pathway into the Graduate Diploma in Computing and Master of Information Technology. You can articulate from the Graduate Certificate in Computing to the Graduate Diploma or Masters programs with credit for the completed courses.
