When studied full time, the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) (Honours) is a one-year, advanced undergraduate degree. It can be taken after completing an undergraduate degree in education and is the ideal next step for high-achieving students who want to further their own education.  

Throughout this honours year, you’ll discover more about the development of research in the field of teaching and you’ll hone your analytical skills. This will deepen your knowledge and the application of methods specific to educational research.  

Once you’ve graduated, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to meet the Australian graduate teacher standards, and the drive to shape the way future generations participate in their community and interpret the world around them.   

Additionally, this year of study can also serve as a pathway into a graduate research degree.
