Practical experiences
Professional placements are a key part of this teaching degree and are undertaken in a combination of out-of-workplace placements and work-integrated learning. The professional experience program allows students to transition from exploring the complexity of relationships within early childhood education, to increasingly taking responsibility for pedagogical leadership within the 0-2 and 3-5 years age groups, to applying leadership for sustainable futures within the early childhood setting.
Accelerated and flexible
We understand your circumstances can change. Offered over three sessions you can start anytime through the year, accelerate your degree and complete in 18 months of full time study, or slow down to suit your individual circumstances.
Flexible placement opportunities
The 80-day practical component of the degree is an ACECQA accreditation program requirement. The placement days are completed across the degree as a combination of in-workplace and out-of-workplace experiences. Depending on your work experience in early childhood education, you may also be eligible to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for 20 days of placement.
