The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision course provides advanced, high quality multidisciplinary training in clinical supervision for professionals working in the mental health area. The course is intended to address a growing gap between demand and availability of comprehensive training in the area of clinical supervision.
The course provides specialised skills in supervision across a range of professional disciplines and is designed to meet the needs of suitably qualified professionals (e.g. qualified counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and other mental health professionals) who are currently in supervisory capacity or intend to become supervisors.
Course structure
All units in these programs are valued at 12.5 credit points each.
The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision consists of a total of eight units (100 credit points). Over one year, eight units normally constitute a full-time load of 100 credit points and four units normally constitute a part-time load of 50 credit points.
To qualify for the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision, students must complete 100 credit points comprising:
- Foundation units (25 credit points)
- Specialist units (50 credit points)
- Practical units (25 credit points) comprising of introductory and advanced level
Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Supervision is 50 credit points (normally four units)
