BACHELOR OF EXERCISE AND SPORT SCIENCES
The Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences will equip you with practical skills in the various disciplines relevant to exercise and sport sciences such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise and sport psychology, motor control and learning, and exercise prescription and delivery.
You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes and mechanisms of the human body as they relate to exercise and sport science and have the flexibility to pursue an area of interest, with your choice of Minor. The Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences includes work-integrated learning placements giving you exposure to real workplace environments. During these placements, you will apply skills learned throughout the course and gain practical experience conducting exercise assessment, prescription, and delivery for a range of populations.

COURSE STRUCTURE
You are required to complete a total of 24 units including 18 core units, and a minor consisting of six units in either biomedical science, secondary teaching or business and management.

Majors and Minors
Biomedical Sciences minor
Advance your knowledge in areas related to exercise and sport science or pursue further studies in a health-related field such as physiotherapy, clinical exercise physiology, or medicine. Plus, this minor deepens your knowledge and skills in specialised areas of physiology and sports sciences such as cardiorespiratory, neurological, and sleep physiology, pathophysiology, sports injury prevention and management, and sports psychology.
Management and Business minor
Gain expertise in the business aspect of the sport and exercise industry with this minor. You'll gain specific knowledge in sport management as well as marketing, occupational health and safety, and human resources. Through a work-integrated learning placement, you will also gain skills in core management areas that are fundamental to business operations.
Secondary Teaching minor
This minor will prepare you for entry into a postgraduate teacher education course. Your teaching area options include Accounting, Biology, Business, Chemistry, English, Geography, History, Home Economics and Hospitality, Industrial Technology and Design, and Mathematics.
