Doctor of Visual Arts

This professional development degree, with an integrated program of independent research and coursework, will help you extend your studio research and practice and make original conceptual advancements in your discipline. You will develop the expertise needed to provide leadership in your field, and you will gain research skills and the ability to articulate a theoretical position within a visual arts discourse.

 

Attendance information

8906QCA Visual Arts Research Methods must be completed in the first trimester of enrolment. This is a seminar based course that requires on campus attendance at South Bank campus. The course will run in intensive mode from 2018.

 

The research project component of the program requires on campus attendance, however this is relatively flexible based on the needs of your project. It is expected that you will be able to work independently for most of the time, however you will be required to meet regularly with your supervisors.
