Academic Preparation for Health Courses
This short course has been designed to bridge the gap for those individuals who do not yet meet the entry criteria for their chosen health degree level course. It may also be useful for those individuals who have not been in education for over 5 years. This blended learning course provides the opportunity for you to develop the academic skills required to progress in higher education and successfully complete your academic studies.
Why Academic Preparation for Health Courses
This short course assists you in developing a variety of transferable skills, as well as life-long learning skills and reflective practice. It will also help you enhance your organisation and IT skills. You'll learn about essay and report writing, academic referencing, assignment planning, reflective practice and understanding of evidence-based practice. Supported by an academic team you'll undertake a series of weekly activities and online reading via the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
