Person Centred Care

This course is aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to advance their knowledge and understanding, as well as develop new skills to a high level demonstrating the ability to analyse and interpret effective person centred care. The course aims to provide you with the skills required to demonstrate self-direction and originality in solving problems and act autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional level.

  • The course is designed to develop your existing knowledge and communication skills within person centred care.
  • You will be introduced to the theoretical and practical aspects of effective communication in your practice which will enable critical thinking surrounding service user care.
  • Informed consent, risk, care governance and patient safety all balanced with informing the decision making of the individual will be explored. As well as the principles of empowerment in health care together with motivational interviewing.
