Why Business with Travel and Tourism Management?

What an exciting time to be involved in the business of travel and tourism. Before COVID-19, over one billion international trips were taken every year and generated 1 in 10 jobs (UNTWO). Tourism is one of the biggest industries in the world and plays a key strategic role in the development of many destinations. The restarting, reimagining and reinvention of tourism is a fascinating prospect. Our course can give you the chance to gain the knowledge and skills to work in this fascinating and rewarding sector with business acumen. All of us look forward to our travels but we don’t often think about what goes on behind the scenes, the processes, systems and activities that mean we are able to travel and to enjoy ourselves while we’re away from home. This course is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of business management applied to the international tourism industry. The business of tourism takes place in an exciting and fast-paced environment, at the forefront of innovation, yet moulded by ethical concerns. This course allows you to explore such dynamics from a business and practical perspective.
