This 10-credit part-time programme focuses on developing knowledge and skills in molecular biology, genetics and the current and emerging laboratory techniques used in modern veterinary practice.   The programme addresses the relevant applications of these techniques and technologies and their role in improving animal health. 

 

This course consists of one 10-credit module which is delivered on a part-time basis over one semester. The course content includes: Introduction to Animal Biology; Animal Genetics and Genomics; Principles of Molecular Based Laboratory Techniques; Applications in Animal Health; Laboratory Skills.
