Midwives work within increasingly complex and demanding clinical environments and this ‘Advanced Comprehensive Health Assessment for Midwives’ programme aims to facilitate midwives to expand their knowledge, skills and professional behaviours in these areas.

 

Over the last decade, maternity services have witnessed considerable demographic shifts within the perinatal population that has resulted in markedly altered health states and more challenging healthcare conditions. These demographic changes require midwives to enhance their professional knowledge and skills in relation to providing care to women with more complex healthcare needs.
