Certificate in Management Fundamentals
The Certificate in Management Fundamentals aims to introduce students to the general principles of management and communications to enable more effective management practice in the workplace.
Students of the Certificate in Management Fundamentals will be introduced to a range of management and communication theories and concepts, as well as techniques to apply in practice relating to: managing people, leading, managing change, managing conflict, negotiating and communicating professionally in a range of organisational contexts.
This course combines both the Certificate in Management and the Certificate of Communication Skills courses. This course is best-suited to:
- Students who wish to be able to apply a range of professional communication skills including assertiveness and negotiation, listening and reflecting, explaining and questioning in the business context.
- Students who wish to gain the skills to establish and manage a basic research project, including the design and administration of primary data gathering and the collection and evaluation of research articles in an ethical context.
- Students who wish to gain knowledge of the general principles of management and communications to enable more effective management practice in the workplace. Learners will be introduced to a range of management and communication theories and concepts, as well as techniques to apply in practice relating to: managing people, leading, managing change, managing conflict, negotiating and communicating professionally in a range of organisational contexts.
