MSc in Community Mental Health Nursing
The aim of MSc in Community Mental Health Nursing is to provide learners with knowledge, critical thinking skills and research capacities to promote positive mental health in the community, in line with Sharing the Vision - a Mental Health Policy for Everyone.
The MScin Community Mental Health Nursing programme will be applicable to the following:
- Mental health nurses who have been employed in inpatient psychiatric hospitals for most of their career to date and are moving to work in community mental health services. These nurses will require re-education and reorientation to a community mental health service.
- Mental health nurses who are currently working in a community setting and wish to be upskilled with a refocused practice in line with Sharing the Vision: A Mental Health Policy for Everyone.
- Graduates of the BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing.
- Nurses who work within practice settings that engage with individuals who may experience mental health issues.
