Certificate in Hospitality Service
The QRC Certificate in Hospitality Service provides graduates with industry current skills and competencies required to enhance the customer experience. The programme will equip students with food and beverage service trends, cultural intelligence techniques and compliance procedures needed to succeed in New Zealand’s dynamic tourism and hospitality industry.
Course Outline:
On completion of the programme graduates will receive the New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage (Level 4) (Restaurant Services)
Graduates will be able to monitor and maintain:

health and safety, food safety and security practices to ensure own safety and minimise potential hazards when serving guests.

interactions between colleagues, managers and guests to provide efficient guest service.

the application of standard operating policies and procedures to work roles in a hospitality establishment.

food and beverage service operations.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry, applicants must have met the following requirements:

Be 17 years of age at course commencement

Completion of NCEA Level 2 or equivalent
Applicants not meeting the entry criteria may be considered on a case by case basis by the Academic Director. Consideration will be given to those with prior work experience and life skills experience.
