Corporate Governance

The Diploma in Corporate Governance provides directors, potential directors and those interested in governance with an accredited programme leading to a UCD qualification in corporate governance. 

 

The Diploma in Corporate Governance programme content will incorporate debates on current challenges and developments in corporate governance. This will include analysis of real life case studies. The Diploma consists of four modules, comprising 12 courses as follows:

  • Regulatory Framework II
  • Directors' responsibilities
  • Role of company boards/Behavioural aspects of boards
  • Selection of non-executive directors
  • Executive remuneration and incentives
  • The annual report/The annual financial statements
  • Role, function and responsibilities of audit committees
  • Risk management and the role of the director
  • Business strategy
  • Improving business performance
