Interventional Imaging & Practice
This 30 credit programme will lead to a graduate certificate in Interventional Imaging and Practice. It will cover the fundamental aspects of Interventional Radiology; current IR technology; radiation safety; patient care and IR procedures. This programme is designed for radiographers working in the speciality of Interventional Radiology.
It aims to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of both the service and the clinical practice within IR. It will equip students to respond to the rapidly changing and evolving nature of this Radiology sub-speciality.

The Course is divided up into four modules; one 10 credit module in Patient Care and Interventional Procedures, one 10 credit module in Radiation Safety, one five credit module in cross sectional imaging and one 5 credit module in IR technology.
These modules will predominantly be delivered in an e-learning environment. The teaching and learning strategies are designed to encourage autonomous reflective practitioners who can further develop their personal and professional skills within a supportive framework.
