Professional Certificate in Disability Policy and Legislation

Professional Certificate in Disability Policy and Legislation is one of the core modules on the MSc in Disability.

The Professional Certificate in Disability Policy and Legislation module provides students with an in-depth and critical understanding of national and international legislation and evidence-based policy. The United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability has heralded significant change for persons with disability and the manner in which they are supported to live a life of their choosing. This module explores how the Irish state has responded to the Convention through the introduction of new legislation, policy and practice.

This course is ten weeks duration and is delivered during one of the academic terms during Autumn, Spring or Summer. Classes are delivered on campus and are typically three hours duration.
