How you'll learn
Experiential learning
This program will allow you to explore your options and earn college credits while you try out a range of skilled trades:
- Experience various trades with introductory courses in Electrical Engineering, Welding, Automotive/Motive Power, Construction Renovation, and Manufacturing/Mechanical Techniques.
- Gain valuable hands-on experience with the latest equipment and techniques in Loyalist’s Bay of Quinte Skills Centre.
- Earn industry certificates in the program, including First Aid and CPR, WHMIS, High Lift and Fall Arrest certification.
- Trades are introduced over two semesters, allowing you time to develop solid skills and evaluate your opportunities.
- Hands-on learning is supported by courses in mathematics and communications in both semesters, ensuring the skills for success in future college diploma programs, or employment in entry-level positions.
- Learn in small classes from dedicated faculty who are industry leaders in their field.
