Sales and Marketing Management – BA (Hons) Degree

The BA (Hons) Sales and Marketing Management degree at Cardiff Met offers an opportunity to become a Sales specialist with a marketing degree. The degree has been developed in conjunction with the Institute of Sales Management, ensuring the teaching content is well aligned to industry expectations. The BA (Hons) Sales and Marketing Management has been developed in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to ensure that teaching content is in line with industry expectations. The course has been awarded the CIM 'Accredited Degree' status – this accreditation provides our students with an opportunity to gain exemption from both the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing and Diploma in Professional Marketing Qualifications.

 

Businesses rely upon sales, winning and retaining new business in today's competitive environment is vital as are graduates with the expertise to increase sales. Designed to give students the skills and ability to think creatively and adopt the latest tools in modern sales campaigns. This course offers students a balance of academic knowledge and the practical experiences expected of aspiring sales managers to enable them to be competitive in the workplace. The course has been carefully designed to embed the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of sales professionals, ensuring you become an effective practitioner, armed with real life experience and academic and professional qualifications.

 

Students will learn how to use social media and develop creative design skills in response to the needs of the needs of the current marketing environment. Students will benefit from a multidisciplinary approach, taught by academic experts, experienced practitioners, guest speakers resulting in a 'learning by doing' approach. In addition to this, as a Met-Marketer you will be able to participate in our CIM Student chapter and follow in the footsteps of our award students by participating in the CIM based creative and entrepreneurial activities. The competition will give you enable you to experience what it is like to work for an marketing agency by working on a campaign for a well-known industry brand with the top 12-finalists being invited to pitch their ideas to the client face to face.

 

Our lecturers have both academic knowledge and industry experiences to teach you the skills you need for the workplace after graduation. You will put theory into practice within an industry work placement for your Sales in Practice module in the second year. You also have the option to spend a year in industry on a work placement after successfully completing your second year of study?.
