Educational Leadership, Ed.D.

The West College of Education's Ed.D. program reflects NELP standards developed by a committee comprised of essential stakeholder communities from across the country. Students work in informal cohorts to apply educational leadership knowledge and skills to current school issues, often in actual school settings. The Ed.D. is a practitioner’s degree. Unlike a Ph.D. program designed to prepare graduates for research and a teaching role, the Ed.D. is a professional doctorate in education that prepares educators for the application of appropriate and specific practices, the generation of new knowledge related to current K-12 issues, and the stewardship of the profession.

The next cohort begins Spring 2023! The application deadline is November 1.
