Pre-Nursing Program

Admission Requirements

All students are admitted to the University of Bridgeport Pre-Nursing curriculum according to the Admissions policy for Undergraduate Applicants through the general admissions process.

  • High school students applying as freshmen must be attending a regionally accredited secondary school and have completed four years of English, two years of Math, one year of College Prep Chemistry with a laboratory, one year of College Prep Biology with a laboratory, and courses in the social studies.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher is required.

The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, which begins in the sophomore year, is highly competitive. Therefore, students must submit applications for the nursing major by February 1 of the prior academic year to be considered.
