PRACTICE EDUCATOR PQSW SHORT COURSE

We run this course in partnership with Local Authorities. It is a regulatory body requirement that our practice educators are qualified to an appropriate level in line with the Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPs). The course combines stages 1 & 2 of the PEPs, offering you the opportunity to become a stage 2 qualified practice educator within one academic year.

To apply for the course you must have a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. You must have at least two years post qualifying experience at the point of application and have approval from your agency to host a UEL student on placement for either 70 or 100 days. In exchange for placements, fees for practice education courses are adjusted.

This course is linked to your professional requirement as a social worker to provide evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as part of your continued registration with the social work regulator, Social Work England. They are also mapped to the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) for Social Work.
