ADMISSION CRITERIAStudents must have an earned undergraduate degree in music and must pass a highly competitive audition to be considered for the Professional Studies Certificate Program. Students should contact the music enrollment coordinator at m.c.bill@csuohio.edu or (216) 687-5039 for detailed information. CURRICULUM:The curriculum for the Professional Studies Certificate Program includes specialized studies in specific instrument or vocal areas, culminating in a recital, as well as large and small ensemble performing experiences. INSTRUMENTAL TRACK: STRING, BRASS, WOODWIND, PERCUSSION - 16 CREDITS
KEYBOARD TRACK - 16 CREDITS
VOCAL TRACK - 16 CREDITS
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL IN THE PROGRAM?Any student who has earned a baccalaureate degree in music is eligible to audition for the program. Students who have earned a graduate degree in music are eligible to pursue the certificate program as well. A student who has received an undergraduate degree, but has not applied for a Master of Music degree, may use credits earned in this certificate program to be applied toward a Master of Music degree at a later time. |
