The Traditional option requires submission of GMAT or GRE scores. The G2WO option allows coursework to begin as a non-degree student and does not require GMAT or GRE scores. However, before being officially admitted to the program G2WO applicants must demonstrate success in two required and two elective Management courses (see details in the NON-DEGREE STUDENTS section below). APPLICATION PROCEDURE - TRADITIONAL GMAT or GRE results submitted to the University by ETS, and An official transcript from each college and university attended. APPLICATION PROCEDURE - G2WO OPTION The GMAT/GRE Waiver Option (G2WO) Program provides students an opportunity to demonstrate the aptitude needed to succeed in the MLRHR program without taking the GMAT or GRE. In addition to the College of Graduate Studies standards for admission, applicants for the MLRHR program must meet the following requirements: All applicants are required to submit a resume and a statement of interest to our Graduate Advising Office at gradbusinessadvising@csuohio.edu Accepted applicants will enroll as Non-degree students. Students will enroll in 12 credit hours. Included in the 12 hours are two required courses and two elective courses.
After successfully completing the four courses G2WO students can be admitted into the MLRHR program without the necessity of taking the GMAT or GRE. A specific Student Services/ Advisor of the Monte Ahuja College of Business will be assigned to students in the G2WO Program and advisory holds will placed on the student’s records.

PROGRAM DESIGNThe MLRHR program consists of a minimum of thirty-three semester hours beyond the baccalaureate degree. The program is designed to accommodate students who are currently working. While a majority of enrollees are part-time students taking courses in the evening, the program also enrolls many full-time students. Full-time students usually take three semesters to complete the degree. The program is divided into four components: REQUIRED CORE COURSES(24 credits) The following are required for all MLRHR students:
ELECTIVE COURSES(9 credits) Students select an additional nine credit hours of 500-/600-level MGT courses to complete the requirements for the degree. Students may also take courses outside of the department, but must be made with prior consent of the student’s advisor. ELECTIVES OFFERED WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
PRACTICE ASSESSMENT EXAMINATIONAll students admitted into the MLRHR program after Summer 2004 are required to purchase and take the online HRCI assessment examination in their last semester of study. Scores from this practice assessment examination will be used as part of an ongoing MLRHR program review. Students documenting current PHR or SPHR certification may have this requirement waived. INTERNSHIPSInternships are available to students to provide an opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources or labor relations. NON-DEGREE STUDENTSNon-degree students are strictly limited to a maximum of twelve credits taken on a graduate non-degree basis. Non-degree students are only permitted to enroll in the following courses: Required courses: MGT 600, MGT 601, Elective courses: MGT 501, MGT 504, MGT 522, MGT 531, MGT 577, MGT 587, MGT 603, MGT 604, MGT 605 (Core course).
ACADEMIC STANDARDSThe MLRHR student must maintain an average of “B” or better in all course work attempted. Receipt of a grade of less than “B” in three courses and failure to maintain a “B” average, or the receipt of a grade of “F” in two courses, will result in dismissal from the program. |
