BIOLOGY MINOR

MINOR REQUIREMENTS

Minimum hours required for minor: 16

A grade of C or better is required for all courses applied to the minor in Biology. Check with the Biology advisor (216-687-2440) for other courses that may be used as Biology electives.

REQUIRED COURSES (8 CREDITS)

• BIO 200 - Introductory Biology I and

• BIO 201 - Introductory Biology Laboratory I 

• BIO 202 - Introductory Biology II and

• BIO 203 - Introductory Biology Laboratory II 

ELECTIVES (8 CREDITS)

The remaining eight credits must be 200-, 300- or 400-level biology courses:

• BIO courses numbered 264-269
• BIO courses numbered 300-311
• BIO courses numbered 410-496

One of the following courses or linked pair of courses where a laboratory is included may be substituted for a BIO prefixed course: 

• EVS 300 - Physical Features of Ecosystems and

• EVS 301 - Physical Features of Ecosystems Laboratory 

• EVS 302 - Biological Features of Ecosystems and

• EVS 303 - Biological Features of Ecosystems Laboratory 

• EVS 450 - Applied Ecology

• EVS 470 - Aquatic Ecosystems and
