You’ll learn how to develop music ministry programs suitable for church and schools, as well as musical performance skills and an ear for sacred music.

The minor in music ministry prepares students to be choir members, choir directors, worship leaders, or ministers of music. Students will have training in developing music ministry programs suitable for church and schools, will develop their musical performance skills, and will develop an understanding of and familiarity with sacred music.

    Spread holiday cheer at the annual Christmas concert. Share your gifts with Voices of Christ, a group of student vocalists and musicians who perform at weekly mass. Perform with an ensemble at a local nursing home.

    Explore eucharistic adoration, Sunday and weekday mass, confession, taize, speakers, workshops, retreats and community service opportunities.

  • The College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Leo University offers students a broad education that lays a durable foundation for critical and independent thinking.     Learning takes place both in and out of the classroom. Students travel to Europe through our cultural immersion courses, research unique plant species while trekking through the Peruvian Amazon, and attend film screenings and poetry readings. The College supports more than 30 degree programs across University Campus, education centers in five states, and online.
