New Zealand Diploma in Screen Production (Level 6)
This programme builds on skills and knowledge and further prepares konga for the screen industry. It provides more advanced practice-based experience across a range of mediums including documentary, TV commercial, and web series. konga have the opportunity to focus on a key crew role during the programme, with a view to working professionally in that area.
Historical and Contemporary Film Making
Provides konga with the tools to research and evaluate the impact of social, economic, cultural, and historical environments relevant to the screen industry, provide solutions to challenges, and apply these to screen production practice.
The Business of Production
Provides konga with the skills to research and explore the scope of business models as they apply to screen production practice.
Applied Storytelling
Develops skills and knowledge to evaluate and apply story-telling structures and devices to create and produce stories for audiences.
Production Planning and Management
Develops knowledge and application of technical processes, craft skills, leadership and management in pre- and post-production planning of screen productions.
Practical Film Making
Develops skills in leading and managing the on-set screen production process, through supervision of an on-set screen production process. Provides ?konga with an environment in which they can apply advanced technical knowledge and expertise to lead, initiate, create and contribute to screen productions.
Post-Production Process
Develops knowledge and skill in the use of advanced technical processes in editing screen productions.
