This programme consists of four 15 credit courses:

• Pathways: Study skills and career preparation

• Essentials: Human biological science

• Opportunities: Natural health therapies

• Connections: Human anatomy and physiology

Outcome Statement

Through the completion of the programme graduates will be able to:

• Demonstrate academic skills that will allow progression to higher academic study

• Work independently and collaboratively to locate, select and analyse information

• Construct and communicate information using a range of media

• Explain the philosophy, benefits and use of natural therapies

• Explore the concepts of holistic health, wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle

• Develop an understanding of the principles and concepts associated with biological sciences

• Demonstrate an understanding of the overall function of various body systems and the interrelationship between anatomy and physiology

• Research, develop and critique a career path and identify career and study goals

• Use various types of media to communicate research findings
