Bachelor of Nursing (Level 7)
With over 1,100 hours of clinical placement you will learn the value of optimising the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people and their communities, promoting balanced lifestyles and supporting people to realise their full potential. On successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing degree, students are supported through the process of registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
The programme is blended/online. Classes on campus at the Bell Street campus will usually be between 8:30am and 5pm. Students are expected to study approximately 40 hours a week, much of which can be completed in your own home, in your own time.

To enable students to apply nursing knowledge and skills in a culturally safe manner with people who experience altered mental health or addiction.

To enable students to critically examine the impact of social, political, economic and environmental influences on family/wh?nau and community health in New Zealand throughout the lifespan.

Entry Requirements
Academic achievement
New Zealand University Entrance NCEA Level 3 (60 credits at Level 3 and 20 credits at Level 2 or higher) which must include:
· 14 credits at level 3 in:
· English or an approved literacy subject
· Biology or physical education or chemistry
· One other subject from the list of approved subjects
