New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support)

Get a start in hairdressing with UCOL's New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support). You'll learn essential skills such as reception duties, shampooing, applying treatments or colours, and styling. You'll also be introduced to cutting.

You'll gain real-world experience in our campus salons, where you'll cultivate your own clientelle, perform hairdressing treatments with the support of your lecturer, and build confidence in your skills. We have a strong culture of team work and we like to have fun.

If you enjoy hair styling and colour work, you'll love our annual History of Hair competition, where you can re-imagine and create a historic themed hair style.
