Special Requirements

Applicants should note:

  • Candidates must not be colour blind, as required by engineering professional standards.
  • Applicants should not have physical limitations that prevent safe completion of laboratory and practical engineering work.
  • International students are required to undergo the mandatory EMGS medical screening; colour blindness may result in failure of the medical screening for engineering programmes.

Student Visa Requirements

International students must obtain a Malaysian Student Pass before commencing studies. The process generally includes:

  • Valid passport
  • APU offer letter
  • Academic transcripts and certificates
  • English language proficiency evidence
  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Visa processing through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS)
  • Medical examination
