Visa Requirements for International Students
International students are generally required to:
- Obtain an official Offer Letter from APU.
- Accept the offer and pay the required initial fees.
- Apply for a Malaysian Student Pass through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) with assistance from APU.
- Submit passport copies, academic transcripts, English language test results, passport-sized photographs, and any additional supporting documents.
- Complete the required medical examination before or after arrival in Malaysia.
- Obtain a valid Student Pass before commencing research.

Special Requirements
Applicants should note the following:
- A relevant Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is normally required.
- Applicants are encouraged to identify a suitable research supervisor and develop a preliminary research proposal before admission.
- Regular meetings with supervisors and satisfactory research progress are mandatory.
- Successful completion requires submission of an original doctoral thesis and successful defence during the Viva Voce examination.
- Students are encouraged to publish their research in recognised journals and present their work at academic conferences
