Latest Updates / Special Requirements

There are several important current points for applicants:

  1. The programme is currently described as a post-qualifying programme for overseas-qualified professionals, not a first qualifying programme.
  2. The programme is offered in Tauranga only. The 2027 regulations confirm Tauranga as the location.
  3. The current programme page lists March and July starts.
  4. Selection includes an interview, declaration and two references.
  5. The 2027 regulations require PSOCS501, PSOCS502, PSOCS503 and another 30 points at Level 500.
  6. There is an important curriculum discrepancy for 2027: PSOCS503 remains in the formal 2027 qualification requirements, but the individual 2027 paper page says PSOCS503 is not offered in 2027. The programme page still displays PSOCS503 in its study planner.
  7. Consequently, the 2027 arrangement for the PSOCS503 component is not publicly specified – please confirm with IPU.
  8. The 2027 PSOCS501 and PSOCS502 papers are scheduled in Tauranga during B Trimester from 12 July to 7 November 2027 and are in-person.
  9. The programme page currently shows an international tuition estimate of NZD 41,559 per year.
  10. The older 2026–2027 International Student Guide lists NZD 39,580 for this programme. Because the live programme page is the newer programme-specific source, NZD 41,559 is the more current published figure; the final enrolment agreement determines the actual tuition fee.
