Swinburne University of Technology
So what is it about Australia that attracts one of the highest numbers of international students in the world?
Australia offers a relaxed lifestyle, welcoming people, leading global education, world-class facilities, multiculturalism, diverse study options and incredible landscapes.
Lifestyle
Study abroad and exchange students will be based at our main campus in Hawthorn. Just ten minutes on the train from Melbourne's city centre, Hawthorn is blessed with boutique shops, parks, restaurants, public transport, a cinema, gym and public swimming pool.
Beyond Hawthorn, Melbourne was voted ‘world’s most liveable city’ for seven years in a row, and offers a fantastic blend of culture, sport (lots of sport), art, shopping and dining.
There are many other reasons to study in Australia. If you explore our beautiful country during your time here, you’ll experience some of the world’s most stunning beaches, rainforests, deserts and cities. The hardest part? Deciding where to go first.
Scholarship
Excited about moving here to study? We’re just as thrilled to welcome you!
We value the vibrant contribution that international students make to our campus, culture and community. And with an international scholarship, you can focus on experiencing all that Swinburne and life in Melbourne have to offer.
This includes our Swinburne International Excellence Pathway Scholarship, which awards A$2500 to A$4000 to eligible international pathway course students who excel academically.
Up to 30 per cent off your course fees
Whether you’re applying to university for the first time or continuing your studies with a postgraduate degree, we have a wide range of international scholarships and incentive programs available.
Some scholarships – like our Swinburne Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship, Swinburne Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship and George Swinburne Postgraduate STEM Scholarship – are awarded based on the grades of your previous study, meaning the better your grades, the higher the scholarship amount.
Other scholarships are awarded based on your ability to meet the entry requirements of selected courses.
