Lemonwood Grove School
Our school opened on January 30th, 2017 and as of Term 3 2024, we have a roll of close to 1000 learners.
At Lemonwood Grove School we provide a balanced curriculum that develops both the academic and social/emotional needs of each learner.
The foundation for this learning is based on strong learning-centred relationships with learners and their whanau as we embark on each child's educational journey together.
As a staff, we take our role seriously and understand the importance of creating a safe environment to allow learners to succeed and reach their individual goals and potential.
Our core focus is on personalising learning by grouping students according to their specific needs and interests. We are also passionate about developing learners' ability to think deeply and critically and to demonstrate and show learning in multiple ways.

New Zealand Curriculum (NZC)
The NZC, or New Zealand Curriculum, is a framework used in New Zealand for teaching and learning in schools. It provides guidance for developing curriculum content and teaching methods across various subjects. The NZC emphasizes a holistic approach to education, focusing on key competencies, values, and a vision for young people as confident, relevant learners. The Lemonwood Grove School curriculum has been developed using a model developed used by Dr. Julia Atlin and Simon Sinek called the Golden Circles. At the centre or core is the WHY (What we believe) HOW (specific actions to realise the WHY) WHAT (what we do to prove the WHY). The 4 school values Grit, Responsibility, Integrity, and Thinking as well 6 principles of learning have been integrated into this Golden Circle model. A special element of the school and curriculum is the integration of a cultural narrative.
