Papatoetoe High School
Papatoetoe High School is a co-educational year 9–13 state secondary school that has more than 60 years of history and tradition. Set in just over eleven hectares of attractively presented grounds in Papatoetoe, Auckland, the school offers multi-level programmes to a school population which reflects the overall mix of New Zealand society.
The school’s facilities provide for approximately 1500 students who are in the care of over 150 teaching and non-teaching staff.
The staff, which is almost evenly split between males and females, enjoys a mix of youth and experience and are involved in a wide
range of professional development opportunities to continue to provide the best for those in their care. The staff also encourage participation in a wide range of out-of class activities which help to make the school a more enjoyable place in which to thrive and learn.

Papatoetoe High School offers a large range of sports for students to enjoy. These include everything from Athletics to Weightlifting. Summer sports are offered in Terms 1 and 4. Winter sports are offered in Terms 2 and 3. Students are encouraged to listen to the daily notices for opportunities to represent Papatoetoe High School sports teams.

Year 11
(NCEA Level 1) Students have five periods a week of compulsory English and Mathematics, and their three option subjects.

Year 12
(NCEA Level 2) Students have five periods a week of compulsory English, and their four optional subjects.

Year 13
(NCEA Level 3) Students have five periods a week of their five option subjects. In addition to this, students may also wish to do co-curricular studies.
