Seafield School of English

About Seafield School of English

Seafield has been providing English-language education for over 40 years, helping students from around the world improve their English and prepare for further study or work in New Zealand.

The school is located in central Auckland (Level 4, 99 Albert Street) in the heart of the city, with good access to transport, student amenities, cafés and cultural life.

Seafield is accredited as a NZQA Category 1 education provider — meaning the regulator has “high confidence” in its educational performance and self-assessment.

It is also a member of the industry body English New Zealand and conducts courses recognised for university pathways.

Why choose Seafield?

  • Strong quality assurance: Category 1 accreditation gives you confidence in the provider.

  • Flexible schedules: Morning, afternoon and evening classes available (helpful if you intend to work part-time while you study).

  • Pathways for further study: Offers recognised programmes (e.g., NZ Certificate in English Language Levels 4 & 5) that help prepare for tertiary study in New Zealand.

  • City-centre campus: Located in Auckland CBD, making student life convenient and vibrant.

  • Personalised, student-centred teaching: Smaller class sizes, outcomes-focus, multi-national student body.

University ranking / reputation

As a language school (rather than a degree-granting university), Seafield does not appear in global university ranking tables. But for language and pathway education, the key metrics are accreditation status (Category 1) and recognised courses (NZCEL levels). Seafield meets those standards.

Campus Location

  • Address: Level 4, 99 Albert Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.

  • The campus is newly located at the heart of the city (as of 2025 opened new premises shared with NZSE College) which offers modern facilities.
